Colorado trio, Yep OK, met in Denver during the summer of 2018. With the common interests of outlaw country and psychedelic rock, the band worked on the original songs each musician brought to the studio. Steven’s “Fireworks and Freight Trains”, Austin’s “Lookin’ Muddy”, and Kelly’s “Foggy Dog” were introduced and remain the primary examples of what to expect within their music.
Steve is a native Coloradan from Littleton. His left-handed guitar pickin' background is the result of the burgeoning bluegrass and jam band community in Colorado. Steve is an essential songwriter for the band, providing strong vocals while combining electric and acoustic guitar. Additionally, he assists with booking and social media.
Austin Latimer’s Wimberley, TX roots help to push the southern style to the forefront. He contributes musically through composing songs on piano and guitar and writing lyrics. He does media for the band that includes YouTube, Bandcamp, and their website. Austin has experience as a sound engineer and runs sound during gigs when an engineer is not provided.
Kelly “Jelly” Turner built his drum chops in the southeastern states while touring with multiple bands throughout the 2010s. Kelly serves as the band’s networking lead, as he relishes in building community among local artists and venues. He manages booking, communications, and contributes musically. Kelly is crucial in guiding the many visions of Yep OK.
